You all know by now what a stats-whore I am, and I installed feedburner on my blogs so I could see if anyone was actually reading.
Sure, it has features for you and such, but really this is all about me, right?
So a week later I find that I have 29 subscribers to Blogging for Bitter Women!
Twenty-nine!
Okay I realise that most bloggers have these little icons up saying they have a bazilliondy plus eleventy-five readers, but you must realise this is the biggest audience I’ve ever had, so twenty-nine is a fantabulous number. I couldn’t be happier!
Over the course of years, I’ve taught classes, given lectures (paid ones, not shake-your-finger-arent-you-a-bad-boy ones), been interviewed for tv and magazines… but none of those things was as satisfying as having twenty-nine people subscribe to Blogging for Bitter Women.
So lots of love going out now to those of you reading by readers! Oh, and if you get a chance to drop by, do! Just to see that I’ve pinkified the whole site. Yeah, it’s girlie. It’s bold and vibrant! (It was creeping me out when I found other sites using the exact same theme, so I decided to give it the Bitter Women treatment.)
Oh, and because this post wasn’t especially funny, and I feel an obligation to give my readers every opportunity for a good chuckle, I’ll send you to a site I found yesterday that was funny, scary, and downright addictive. Passive Aggressive Notes. I read one, and then another, and then all of a sudden an hour had gone by and I was deep into their archives. A truly hilarious look at humanity, and the goofy things we say to each other (without wanting a confrontation, of course
)
Don’t worry… by tomorrow the glow will have worn off, and I’ll have some more bitter thoughts for you.
Oh, and P.S. If you want to join the Twenty-Nine, just click here to subscribe to our Bitter Feed!

I don’t subscribe to the feed, but I check the site every day, so you can make that a nice, round 30!
Woohoo! Makes my day!
Jayne congrats! I’m one of those subscribers. I love to keep in touch through G reader of blogs I love! (trust me there are few of them).
I love the pink template by the way. Bitter women power! Yaaayy!
I’m a new subscriber! I discovered BFBW last week and have been hooked ever since. Congrats and keep it up!
I don’t do the feed reader thing myself. I just come around the old fashioned way by clicking on your link in my blogroll.
I don’t remember how I found you, but I’m a reader and have you in my favorites. Because of your link I set up the feeds for you and several others. How do you set up a feedburner?
Annie: If you mean how do you use feedburner to make feeds available for your own blog, it’s pretty easy.. just go to feedburner.com and the instructions are simple to follow! If you mean how do you use a feed reader to read *other’s* blogs, go to google.com/reader to set up an account. After you have one, you can add any feed to your google reader and read all your favourite websites in one place! It’s very cool, and I’ve started using it recently because I have so many blogs to keep up with now. (Hope this helps! If not, feel free to email me at bitterwomen [at] bloggerbingo [dot] com and I’ll help if I can!)
To the rest of you… keep up all this lovin and I’ll never be bitter again!
Twenty-nine is a good number! One I can only dream of as someday having in subscribers. Congrats! You’ve got a great, highly entertaining blog!
Shit… I was thrilled to find out I have 5 regular readers I am not related to. 29 is good!
