What’s a Meme, and Should You Avoid Them Like Death Itself? Better Visual Wordpress Posts
Sep 04

If I could get even a few people to stick to this rule, I will have done the blogosphere a huge favor. In fact, do us all a favor and spread the word!

  • Don’t blog with excuses about why you haven’t been blogging.
  • Don’t blog with apologies for not writing more.
  • Don’t blog about writer’s block.

It isn’t interesting.

I have been guilty of this one before…but I haven’t done it in awhile and I will go ahead and pledge never again…just for you and so that you can take credit for saving the blogosphere from death by boredom!

good rules but i think that last one is not “writer’s block” but “blogger’s block”.

hey, do you know how to remove a comment on blogcatalog about a blog?
(I placed one on my own blog that haunts me and would like to remove it)

Unfortunately, you can’t, cranelegs. I’ve wondered that myself before, but the only way it might be possible is the ‘report this review’ link on each review.

You could try hitting that link, and leaving a note saying that it’s a review of your own blog, and you wish it removed. Not sure if they will, but the people over there seem very nice and it’s worth a shot!

jayne, thanks for the tips. i had a feeling i was going to have to report myself to the blog police. if i do, hopefully, i’ll beat the rap with a little slap on the wrist and 24 hours of community blogging. however, in the event i’m sent up the river.com, would you mind churning the pond occasionally until i return? thanks! (just remember not to use any capitalist letters)

definitely… if all else fails, i bake you a cake with a file in it.
